Kākāriki karaka - "Please can I have some more?"

I arrived at the aviary, two auto-feeders are nearby, they drop seed as a snack for any interested birds every four hours. Between seed drops the feeder tray is cleaned out, all seed is eaten.

This guy here (YO-O) was nearby when I arrived, I was standing about 3m from an empty feeder. He hopped from the empty feeder to the adjacent branch, then to the trunk of the tree next to me, then back again. He repeated the circuit about ten times, although in no particular order. He was being so photogenic I kept snapping photos, although I guessed he was asking me to drop some seed onto the feeder. Finally he departed to nearby foliage with a disappointed chatter. Seeing as he had asked so nicely, I manually ran some seed through the auto-feeder and he came over for a snack.
