Some tītitipounamu (rifleman) and ngirungiru (tomtit) photos I took in the Brook Waimārama Sanctuary last week.
Tītitipounamu are easy to snap with their wings open given they often flit their wings every second.
The next three are one male 'walking' up the tree looking for snacks (bugs). Looks like he found something tasty.
Then a male ngirungiru fledgling / juvenile testing his wings, and wondering what that big biped with that thing that goes 'click' is up to.
When he looked up and lifted his tail it was time to leap up and flap those wings.
